This week has been a busy week for the respiratory research community in the UK – as the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress was hosted this year in London.
The ERS Congress included some of the biggest names in respiratory research – coming together to discuss their work, talk about their findings and gain valuable insight from others to help shape their own work of the future.
Many members of the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research were there – as well as lots of people from our core funders, the charity Asthma UK.
Have a look on Twitter for tweets including the hashtag #ERSLDN2016 to see lots of updates from the congress.

In particular, we were talking about a new Cochrane Review led by Adrian Martineau from the Centre which found that Vitamin D supplements can reduce the risk of asthma exacerbations.
