We are pleased to announce that Dr Anna De Simoni will join Dr Allison Worth as Co-Lead of the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) platform.  Anna is a Clinical Lecturer in Primary Care, based at QMUL, and a GP.

Anna said:

I am delighted to join Allison as co-lead of the AUKCAR PPI platform.

AUKCAR PPI input has been invaluable for my research so far and always an enjoyable and enriching experience for me as a researcher. I strongly believe that PPI groups are not only a resource to guide our research, but also an untapped force for contributing to improvement in healthcare. I am looking forward to work more closely with the AUKCAR PPI group and planning together future developments as part of the PPI platform team.

I’m delighted that Anna de Simoni will be joining us as Co-Lead for the AUKCAR Patient and Public Involvement Platform. The PPI team is looking forward to working with Anna as we continue to develop ways to help researchers to involve people affected by asthma in AUKCAR research.

Anna replaces Ann Caress in this role.  We would like to thank Ann for her previous work supporting the PPI Platform.
