Congratulations to University of Swansea-based PhD student Mohammad Al-Sallakh who recently shared the prize for best poster at the joint European Medical Informatics/Farr Institute conference in Manchester (24th-26th April).

Mohammad’s prize was awarded for his work presented on GP-ACT - A tool for automatic characterisation of cohorts using primary care data. GP-ACT is a versatile tool to automate data preparation in research projects. It allows researchers and analysts to query complex clinical information from primary care data, and to share clinical code sets and phenotyping algorithms with the research community, promoting research transparency and reproducibility.

Mohammad shared his prize with Angharad Walters, another Farr CIPHER analyst based at the University of Swansea.
